Name: Lexie

Age: 25

Congenital Condition: Truncus Arteriosus

Brief history of treatment i.e. Surgeries etc…: I was 6 months old before doctors discovered any issue, as I had only put on ½ pound since birth. After further test they discovered I had Truncus and 3 holes. Both of which were repaired through 2 surgeries.

1^st 1982 – age 6months

2^nd 1984 - age 3 years

After that I would require valve replacements as I got older and my body grew.

1^st 1995 – age 13

2^nd 2004 – age 22

These will continue throughout my life as the valves deteriorate.

Other: I moved to Brisbane with my partner of 4 years Daniel, my mum and younger brother & sister in 2005.Last year Daniel and I bought a house and adopted a puppy, called Layla. I attend a weekly boot camp to keep my fitness up and enjoy watching basketball “Go the Bullets”.
