Youth Musicians Raising Funds with CD

“From our Hearts to Yours” grew from Elizabeth Hubbard and Adam McMillan’s desire to share their joy of music with others. This just‐released CD aims to raise funds for HeartKids Australia.

Their careers may just be starting out, but already they have discovered a shared enthusiasm for chamber music. “Music-­‐making is amazing, it can be so joyful and express all sorts of emotions,” says Elizabeth. “When Adam and I came up with the idea for a CD to support HeartKids, we wanted to choose works that we felt could communicate different feelings… ones that might speak to our listeners and communicate to them in the way we know best, through our music. You know, it’s kids helping kids.”

The selection of repertoire on this album is eclectic, covering several hundred years of music history. There are some of the most cherished items in the cello and piano repertoire, as well as lesser-­known gems.

Elizabeth and Adam’s youthful, spirited and passionate playing, yet at times so sensitive and nuanced, is sure to touch many hearts.
